with these restrictions:

- It had/has to be offered on your car(s) model. (if it’s a different model name in different market it’s all right) *No colours off re-badges.* So no Toyota 86 colour for a BRZ for an example.

- The colour could not be offered in your market.

- It has to be from the same model year as your car(s).

Kinja'd!!!

I go with Metallic Bronze, it’s a nice subtle brown.

Also mention what car it it.

Edit: derp, didn’t read post.

Hmm. Galaxie in Oxford Blue?

Probably would keep the top Corinthian White, though.

Kinja'd!!!

Probably Viking Blue/Corinthian White for the Ranchero.

Laser Blue, without hesitation, it was available the same year (2002) as mine but it was a rare special order option with the final count being just 151. They’re hen’s teeth and I haven’t seen one come up for sale in ages alongside its almost-as-rare Vivid Yellow (non-metallic yellow, very similar to the ‘91 Sunburst Yellow NA Miata) counterpart (239 produced).

All the colors were the same for all the markets, based on what I can find. So I can’t play.

For the Fiero I would choose either Bright Blue, which was only available in ‘87

Kinja'd!!!

or yellow, which was only available in ‘88

Kinja'd!!!

The Fiero doesn’t have that many color options, 4-5 per year really. Red/ red metallic, white, black, and silver for most of it.

I would not paint the Lancia a different color. Jamaica Blue is not a color I would have initially chosen If I had the chance, but I love it so much now.

Kinja'd!!!

This is probably more representative than my fading example.

My car (2001 Honda Prelude) was only sold in North America in 2001, so I can’t play.

Through to the late ‘80s or so, most cars sold in Australia and New Zealand were assembled from CKD kits by local companies that often handle multiple makes, and they tended to mix and match colours. ‘70s Triumphs in Australia, for example, were often painted in Toyota colours.

I came across this old photo of some Mk1 Triumph 2000s on a transporter in New Zealand, and I love that blue colour. My parents had an NZ-assembled Mk2 2000 in the same shade, and it doesn’t quite match any of the colours I’ve seen on UK cars, so I assume it was a local special.

In any case, I think that it would look rather fetching on my Mk1 Estate.

I don’t think this question works for me, my two older cars had the same colors available everywhere, and then with the CRV, I just don’t care

This lovely shade of blue from the 2010 Honda Jazz was not offered for my 2010 Honda Fit here in the U.S. But I want it.

The GVR4 only came in three colors; white, Black, and green. While I’m very glad mine isn’t white, if I was going to repaint it a factory color it would be Belize Green.

I bought a 2013 Mazda3 hatch, and sadly this color was never offered in my model year. My wife and I included this in a round of car buying for her before she settled on something else, but I always wanted this color. It doesn’t help I see one on my commute to and from work almost daily.

I saw one that color on CL once. It had the matching Blue interior.

The 10th anniversary edition model (1999 & 2000) had the blue/black interior and blue top. The paint was rather similar to the photo. Are you sure it wasn’t one of those?

No Mahogany Mica? I think that would be my pick. Although having seen Laser Blue in person at MATG, I really do like that color. Didn’t realize how rare it was. I think my favorite Miata color though is the MSM orange.

I like to call this color “Bondo color”

Kinja'd!!!

Or this color would be awesome. Although I just like that car so much because it has a K-series swapped in there. So I will take it in any color with that!

Kinja'd!!!

But actually, to follow the rules and stick with colors offered to my year and from the OEM:

Kinja'd!!!

I would stick with the same exact color the car currently is except have it repainted better and include a color matching hard top so that it actually looks good (I like my wheels more though):

I’ve seen the ‘00 SE in person and while the paint job is nice, it’s not my shade. MSM Lava Orange and Velocity Red are awesome to see in person, especially with the rarity of Orange. Really, I wish Mazda offered Montego Blue on the NBs because I have a friend with a NA in that and it looks nice when it shifts colors.
